Frans Afman (1933 – 2011)
Frans Afman has worked with well known film producers like Dino De Laurentiis and Alexander Salkind, as well as with major independent motion picture production companies. He has been instrumental in financing film projects such as “King Kong”, “Superman II and III”, “Terminator I and II”, “Rambo II and III”, “Platoon”, “A Room With A View”, “When Harry Met Sally”, “The Fabulous Baker Boys”, “Total Recall” and “Dances With Wolves”. We regret to have to inform you that this highly appreciated member of the board has passed away on the 4th of May 2011. We will dearly miss his enthusiasm, his words of advise and, above all, the kind and warmhearted person he was.
As writer, director and actor of stage plays like “Tula” and “Konsenshi di un pueblo“ Pacheco Domacassé has largely contributed to the emancipation of the inhabitants of the former Netherlands Antilles. Nowadays he is board member of Fundashon Parke Nashonal. The main goal of this foundation is to educate and inform about Tula and most of all to rehabilitate the great leader of the slave revolt.
Charles do Rego
Charles do Rego studied human geography with special interest in economic and industrial geography at the University of Nijmegen and he also did his Master of Business Administration at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. From 1972 till 1992 he worked at the higher vocational training institute for teachers in Curaçao as a teacher and as one of the directors. He is the author of Slavery and Rebellion, 1795
